Building, maintaining and expanding the facilities that house network architecture can be a major roadblock to your company's success. Utilizing a streamlined colocation center can help companies in any industry who are seeking a faster, more secure, more reliable and more economical way to position their networks.
IFWORLD, Inc.'s colocation services offer just that.
IFWORLD, Inc. is a local company owned and staffed by University of Arkansas Computer System's Engineering Alumni. We provide high-end computer systems support, colocation and rack space for disaster backups, database programming and other solutions, web development and have been an ISP to other ISPs for over 12 years.
Since you are entrusting your server in the hands of another company, there are some things about our server center we would like for you to know:
-
Facility - It is important to know where your server will be physically located. Our server room was formerly IBM's server room when they had a location in Fayetteville. We took over this space after IBM moved.
-
Bandwidth - Not all internet connections are equal. IFWORLD has a private fiber DMARC physically in the server center. The fiber runs completely underground to the local central office. We have multiple DS3 fiber internet connections through major tier 1 providers.
-
Physical Infrastructure - You want to ensure that your server and the data it contains is kept safe. Our server room is equipped with a natural gas generator, a 50 ton A/C unit and raised flooring.
-
Uptime Guarantees - Just as they are very important in virtual hosting, it is extremely important to ensure that your host has guarantees in regards to the performance of your connection. We offer a 99% service level agreement, which is allowed though our redundant internet connections and gas generator.
-
Security / Access - Just as you would not allow anyone into your server, you want to make sure that only people with the proper authorization will have access to your server. We employ several levels of security, both administrative and physical, to keep your equipment and data safe.
-
Backup Availability - We have access to two other secure server facilites. One is also in the area and the other approximately 30 miles away in Madison County. Both are on another power grid and similarly equipped. We have 45 Mbps fiber connectivity between us and the Madison County location, and T1 access to the additional Fayetteville data center.
-
Support Options - This is important with any type of hosting. You want to make sure that the people that work with your servers are both knowledgeable and helpful. The original founders are still heavily involved in IFWORLD's daily business, and all employees are expected to maintain a high level of knowledge, professionalism and kindness.
Warning:
You are using an older web browser that is not compatible with basic Web standards.
We recommend that you upgrade to one of the following browsers:
Windows or Mac Users:
Netscape 6+, Opera 6+, MSIE 6+
Linux OS:
Netscape 6+, Konqueror
In an effort to create a more organized World Wide Web, the W3C has created many new Web layout standards. The key focus of their effort is to provide the best possible interoperability between the different browsing programs available.
In the days of the browser wars between Netscape and Microsoft, many hacks were propagated by the competing companies. However, today these hacks have done more to hurt the Web than to help the battling companies. By downloading and installing one of the programs listed above, the Web will be one step closer to eliminating these hacks and bugs.
